Sixjet AG invests in 3D printing technology

09/12/2011

Sixjet AG in Veltheim (Switzerland) is expanding its line of services. In addition to engineering and the CNC machining services lathing, milling, bending and lasering, the company also offers system assemblies and the production of robot cells. It also intends to become active in the vacuum casting (precision casting) sector. Since Sixjet is already offering high-end products for the machine industry, the company also plans to use exclusively high-quality systems for this new business segment. As a result, the company management decided to purchase a voxeljet VX800 HP 3D printing system.

The VX 800 high-performance model is among the most powerful 3D printers available in the market. This machine is predestined for generating components that require extremely high detail accuracies and a very precise representation of contours. In addition, the VX800 HP large format printer is also able to attain high building speeds with increased resolution levels.

Sixjet selected the VX800 HP due to the model's good burn-off properties and high precision. The company's professional approach for this new business segment is underlined by its investment in a complete VX800 HP system with powder preparation, finishing cabin, unpacking station, oven and wax bath. It means that Sixjet is ideally equipped for all tasks that may be required.
